Friday: Play chauffeur/tour guide in Skagit Valley for [livejournal.com profile] heddo98 and [livejournal.com profile] icebluenothing. Showed them Rosario Beach, Deception Pass, Anacortes and LaConnor. Had yummy dinner at Mexico Cafe. Alexander was his typical self- occasionally stunning adults with his range of learning and incredible to talk fdor extended periods of time without saying anything substantial. Evening visit from the aforementioned [livejournal.com profile] heddo98.

Saturday: Alexander's skating lesson, followed by open skating. Got to be the cool adult for him and four of his other classmates to play with. Five kids ranging from two and a half to eight can't drag me on skates when i don't want to move. One me can move all five of them, though, although it's tough to take anything approaching a real stride without tripping over one of them. Afterwards ran errands preperatory for alexander's birthday bash. Planned on going out to the Mercury, but as of about 9 pm, lacked the motivation to bother getting dressed to do so.

Sunday: Contributed a little as [livejournal.com profile] damashita finished getting the house ready for the party. Ran off to pick up pizzas for the guests, a final little gift for alexander, and a special Pizza Π pizza for alexander (who's casein intolerant, and thus can't do cheese). While waiting for this last one, stopped by Earl's on the Ave to visit [livejournal.com profile] mediavore. Returned for the party- at which adults ended up outnumbering kids. Guests included [livejournal.com profile] wilson_lizard and son S.; Shawna, Tracy and Magdelena (who were also down last weekend for Folklife); three of the older neighbourhood girls; [livejournal.com profile] mistress_gaelan; and Camilla. Highlight of the day had to be watching the kids bobbing for apples in pretty chilly water, although the piñata decapitation probably runs a close second.

Nothing to worry about there, although i wish i'd seen definitely from which plant it came for future comestible reference.

It was growing just to the right of your steps, and looks like big 3 leaf clover. Some people call them "sourgrass" or "shamrocks".
