May. 15th, 2003 09:23 pmWhat a week so far.
Tuesday: Nicholas Aidan arrives (note: we decided to go with Aidan instead of Liam as his middle name of record).
Wednesday: My birthday present to myself arrives from Scotland. Pictures to follow at some point.
Today: Our friend Larry, fresh back in the country from a contract job in Indonesia (he's a surveyor who works with various companies and travels all over the world. In the last year, i think he's been in Indonesia, Bali, Yemen, Oman, and Qatar) stops in with a late birthday present for me. Larry's one of few people who has as dark a sense of humour as i do, and the present was a perfect example. I now am the proud owner of an Osama Bin Laden t-shirt, complete with full colour front picture and black and white back picture. Larry also has permits for damn near everything- he says when he goes through Customs and they check his passport they have to scroll through three screens full of permits and special permissions, ranging from being allowed to import and export explosives to bringing soil samples into the country. He has some of the best stories as a result of his travels.

Date: 2003-05-16 09:29 am (UTC)Anyway, congrats on the new addition to the family. As one of the few that was hedging my bet on you having another boy, I have been vindicated. Hope all is going well. We'll have to catch up sometime when I can slow down long enough to take a breath.
