I've sown my seed...
Mar. 14th, 2003 12:35 pmboth literally and figuratively now.
The butterfly garden has been planted. I put the Delphinium and the majority of the Lupine up by what will be the fence line, since these variants generally bloom flowers off of spikes anywhere from two to four feet tall, which will make them ideal to line the fence on the flower garden side.
The hyacinths are up in three different colours now at various places, and surprisingly fragrant. These were a surprise, since i found the bulbs under the stairs and had no idea what they were when they were planted.
Here are a pair of little pictures:

as do Easter Lilies, Tiger Lilies, Day Lilies and anything else that leaves massive ammounts of pollen behind when you touch the stamen. Easter Lilies are the worst. If I'm in a room with an Easter Lily for more than about 15 minutes, I can't breathe through my nose for another hour. :)
Enjoy your lovely blooms...We got more snow yesterday. Even in 4 wheel drive, I tried to stop at a stop sign on a hill going about 5 mph and slid right through. We got to the last hill before home (after an hour drive that's usually 20 minutes) and I actually had to push Jerry up the hill because he wasn't going *anywhere*....very, very slippery conditions yesterday.
I'm ready for spring now...
heh. I should have just written you an e-mail :)
Beautiful~

Was it the trip to the Butterfly Exhibit?
