Random thoughts:

There are people who pay huge amounts of money for phone sex. I just so totally don't get it. Discussing something requiring a level of intimacy with a complete stranger is so completely beyond my ken i can't even grasp how it works for some people. I can't even be spontaneous and open with people i know on the phone, but that's probably because i find them to be really impersonal objects- probably a stigma left from doing telephone technical support for various pieces of software for entirely too long.

You know you're way too much of a tech geek when you see a colour and try to figure out what the HTML hex code for it is. What's even more fun is spending time with someone else who has the same quirk. You know it has gotten out of hand, though, if an exchange runs more than three e-mails.

It's way easier to talk about even difficult subjects in person than it is to discuss trivial things remotely. Something about having the person to whom you're talking present makes it more comfortable.

I should be much more creative than i am presently, but i'm feeling majorly uninspired to write or create of late. Hopefully this malaise will pass soon.

I suck at volunteering information extemporaneously. It doesn't come any more easily with prompting. Ask specific, focused questions, and you're much more likely to get answers. I usually feel really awkward about producing things out of nowhere.

No, i didn't think that you were- just that the whole concept of such a thing is beyond me. I'm just intensely selective when it comes to partners, and the thought of sharing an intimate act with someone on the other end of a telephone just absolutely baffles me.

I'm so bad with phones that i think hottoastermama is the only person with whom i've spent over a half hour at a time on the phone on more than one occasion all year, and that's only because she's not around to spend time with in person.

Strangely enough.. Master Larry is the only one I enjoy talking on the phone to. Anyone else it feels fake with..
