Wheee!

Merc evening. Spent most of the night chattering with [livejournal.com profile] sarmonster, [livejournal.com profile] oponn, [livejournal.com profile] alpine_addict, [livejournal.com profile] wookie71, and Sarah's drunk-ass friend Mike who goes by another name- although exactly what it is escapes me at present (Jareth?). It's been a long time since i got to be that silly with that many adults at one time.

Quote of the Evening:
Too many notable ones to single out one.

Other Amusing Event of Note:
Having [livejournal.com profile] burgunder, who's around 40 cm/ 11 inches shorter than me try to stare down at me.

Completely unrelated.
You're still up. We're just up.

And being silly is good for the soul. :)

Nope. Not British. Looked like Wookie with bleached hair and sans facial hair.

[livejournal.com profile] kelam Also Known as Jerath, AKA Blondie, AKA Mike (where there's no other Mike's around. The younger mike in the Immortalsofar team. Who, I may say, went well above & beyond the call of duty early this morning in assisting us with er...errors involving intake with certain members of the party.
Was really good to see/talk with you again!

Why am i not surprised that said errors materialized? People who are not accustomed to drinking are going to get crushed with six Mercury doubles. For that matter, most people who are used to alcohol consumption will be as well. That's why some of us restrict ourselves to two or three at most.

I concur. In my comment to one veteran who allowed a certain Merc. virgin three or four long islands: "YOU are a dumbass."
Saw it coming, but in allowing it to happen most likely prevented further occurences.
Three merc long islands alone will put me on my lips.

Yup. That's one thing about getting drunk almost to the point of alcohol poisioning- it's not a lesson you'll soon forget.

Two double kamikazes is enough (if consumed in less than three hours) to make my feet slightly numb, which is the sign to unless someone else is driving- and usually even then.

On the flip side, we all need a good bender every once in a while, and i'd rather see someone get his/her drink on when there's definitely someone else who's going to be doing the driving.

Don't know how the evening ended, but i had fun, definitely.

Got some dancing in, spent a good 45 minutes out by the car, Kelam did a lot of propping up & carrying. Drove home as smoothly and quickly as possible miraculously without incident & poured stricken friend into bed. I had a great time, though I'm going to hell for laughing at people.
I do know that comapny had minimal experience with mixed drinks, and none with the Mercury's.

Hopefully it won't deter her to the point where she doesn't want to come back. I advise discretionary application of alcohol next time, or the commission of an armour plate stomach, liver, and kidneys.

OO! There's an idea! Maybe we scared her into being a designated driver!

OK guys...I resemble that remark!! but its all good.....I must say, lesson learned. And I am not scarred...shit lemme at em...lol ok I'll stick to water but hey iffin I'm the desg. driver...where would I put people in my little pickem up truck?
I haven't been that drunk but once in my life back as a teen....regressing I guess. I look forward to more times there at the merc with such a great crew. I would have never resorted to such acts of random drinking if the company would not have been so trustworthy. I owe Kelam BIG time! What a sweet heart!! And what a pleasure to meet everyone...very gracious and accepting. Much love!

Happens to all of us one time or another. Glad to hear there were no lasting ill effects.
