Quiet night at Linda's and Goffee tonight. Saw a few folk i haven't seen in a while- [livejournal.com profile] heddo98 and [livejournal.com profile] transcendence1, [livejournal.com profile] thedivas, and most of the Wednesday pre-coffee regulars. Coffee itself was unusually quiet- of the handful of people i'd really hoped to see, only [livejournal.com profile] icequeen669 was around- but we made up for it by having a good chat- the first in ages.

Thought about going to the club afterwards, but given the dearth of people at coffee, it seemed unlikely there'd be a lot of people at the club- especially early. Called it an early evening. I'm begining to redefine "lethargy."

*sigh* I suppose it's tough to get enthused when the only place that even hints at being interested in possibly interviewing you has a payscale roughly what you made three years ago. Just need to win the lottery —which'd be a neat trick, since i don't play— and become independently wealthy. Then i could manage not to motivate myself to work on my novel, but wouldn't have to sweat from where the money to live was coming.

I won a buck today! Which I immediately invested in another ticket. I figure $2-4/week is a good investment in a license to dream.

True. $2-4 is fairly cheap as far as that goes.
