What a day. Unpacked a bunch of boxes, did a lot of straightening up, got the cable hooked up, found a phone line long enough to run from the computer to the phone jack, got a bit of pipe practice in, went exploring the neighbourhood a bit- picked up a cord to hook up the dryer, found that the local Fred Meyer carries Fraoch Heather Ale (yum!) as a regularly stocked item (!!!), went over to PCC in Fremont, then to Dusty Strings. Could easily spend hundreds of dollars there. Played both cedar and spruce necked Seagull guitars- decided i like the tone of the cedar ones better, came home and have been catching up on e-mail and friends' LJ entries, and just generally being lazy.

i know he has pix of the living room and our bedroom before and after... both look amazing. i took a bunch of pix with all the chaos of boxes (so that i can have before and after pix of the chaos-to-sanity thing).

Well I can't wait to see them, though I would much rather be seeing the new place in person. Oh well, just have to wait a little while for that pleasure.

If everything goes as hoped/planned then next summer. We're hoping to be able to find jobs (well just one job found is needed to spur the move) and then move out there as early on in the summer as we can.
