Alexander has had his toy pipes (the blowpipe and chanter work, but the drones are just for show) since he got back from the Yukon with damashita last summer- they were a "welcome home" gift to keep him off of mine- but this was the first time we'd ever 'played' together- this afternoon in our front yard. Hah! You do know why pipers walk when they play, don't you? They're trying to get away from the music.

HIs hands aren't quite big enough, even for the 3/4 scale chanter, but he likes blowing into the blowpipe and pretending to play.

Yeah, the other quarter of my heritage is Scots. Means i really have learned by necessity to keep a careful eye on my drinking, and have some more than slightly sadomasochistic tendancies. Most of them are reasonably socially acceptable, except for piping and hockey.
