Waaaah! Just heard that Seven Nations is going to be touring this summer with *hang on to your seats* Great Big Sea and Young Dubliners.
Now for the flip side: the closest they're getting to anywhere civilized in the Pacific Northwest is Boise, Idaho. Aside from that date, it's Anaheim or Park City. Damnit!
Well, the dates only run through late September, so maybe sometime later in the year. I can hope, right? 7N and GBS on the same bill. What a phenomenal show that'd be.

That's music of the devil. You should go to the Donny Osmand tour. Now that's music!!!

oooooookay. If you insist. I usually prefer my music with less schmaltz and more pipes or whistles, though ;-)

Well, that, or more electronica. All i'd have to do would be a way to figure out how to hear Apoptygma Berzerk and Front Line Assembly on the same night....

Idaho.... "You city folks ain't from around here, is yuh?" That's not exactly a show I'd associate with Idaho.

Yeah, that's kinda what i'm thinking. I guess it could be worse. Could be Missoula, MT, but Boise's scary enough.
Have you heard Seven Nations? I'm thinking you'd like some of their statements about Irish Republicanism, and they're not afraid to do some of the rebel songs.
Might just have to make you a CD sampler....

I lived in Boise for a while. It's not really a redneck town. It's more of a wannabe place. You have to go out and about to the hinterlands (where I also have lived) to get the rednecks. Boise is more filled with people who will book a band because they really want their town to be a happening place. It isn't a happening place, because it's at least 6.5 hours from anywhere. But they try on occasion.
