May. 17th, 2002 09:55 pmWell, it took almost three hours to get home today. I can only imagine how bad it would have been if my building hadn't emptied out at 3 o'clock. I was a bad elfboy for the last bit of my day and made a cd- took my list of songs from yesterday, added a few to blend some of the segues a bit more smoothly and make it run longer, converted them back to cda from mp3 (i happened to have all of them amongst my 7+ GB of music at work), and went down to the burn lab, blank cd-r in hand to make a cd. I might even award a copy of it to the person who asks the most interesting or funniest question, just to provide a little incentive ;-).
Anyway, as it turned out, i got to listen to it all the way through on the trip home, along with a Metropolis Records sampler i happened to grab this morning on the way out the door and Great Big Sea's Sea of No Cares I sang along with all of them.
If i never have to drive through Everett again, that would be perfectly wonderful with me. I'm so damn sick of the traffic.
Anyway, enough cavilling from me for the present. For those of you who are still any degree of observant Jews, Chag sameach, and it is my prayer for all of you that the Divine give you a special insight and blessing. Shavu'ot tov, mishpoche.
For the rest of you, have a great weekend and the same blessing, in whatever shape(s) the Divine manifests in your personal experience.
