Jan. 5th, 2009 04:31 pmWell, today's adventure was setting off to retrieve the car. Took the bus down, got to it with no problem. Called the service number for the phone plan, and got told that it'd take two to three hours to get a tow. It's been 15-30 minutes in the past, so that's what i'd dressed for- expecting that it'd be about the same time as before, possibly a little longer with remnants of the weather- but the roads were clear at 9:30 this morning.
Well, it didn't take two to three hours. I called at 10:11 am, the tow truck showed up at 2:24. My feet were frozen, the rest of me was pretty damned cold.
Fortunately, our mechanic is a good guy. It took only slightly longer for him to identify the problem than it took for my feet to thaw.
