Just got a call from the owner of our current house- the one who told us right around the winter solstice that she was thinking about selling the house.
Seems that she's not planning on selling it after all. And was curious why she got a call from the people with the place we saw yesterday inquiring about us as tenants. Apparently what she meant by 'thinking about selling the house' was actually 'thinking about selling it to us if we were interested.' Unfortunately, it managed to throw us into the tizzy of looking for a place to live.
Now we're looking at either a) not moving and dealing with suburbia hell or b) moving anyway and probably paying more for less space, but not feeling like we're out in the middle of BFE.
I hate decisions. Especially when there are pluses and minuses to both.
Wonder if it's time to apply the general rule of thumb i used to use when driving in unfamiliar places- pick the way i thought i should go and turning the opposite. It was almost perfect in its accuracy. Guess that'd mean we were staying here.
