*sigh*
Tomorrow, in my role as release manager, i get to put on my old hat of test lead and tell someone that his stuff can't release unless the show-stopper bugs which were in it today when he ran through it for me are miraculously fixed overnight by his off-shore developers. Given how badly broken it was in spite of those eeejuts being two weeks past-due, i'm not holding out any hope that it'll really be fixed.

The sad part is that the guy who wants to release it doesn't seem to think that his show-stoppers are anything which should hold his release. This is another reason why test should be involved. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any, just the adjunct to the eejuts.

Another innocent corrupted.

At the Capitol Hill Block Party on Friday, the boys were given little portable (and water-resistant) radios. [livejournal.com profile] darkmuffin's commentary: "Now I can listen to NPR whenever I want to."

Last year, he lectured City Councilwoman Jean Godden on his views from the left. Yes, another would-be NDPer in the works, probably. The weirdest part— he's largely formed his own opinions.

SeaFair is under way. We'll probably get a good view of the Blue Angels practices over the next few days from work, but the real highlight for us is doing the tour of the naval vessels on the weekend. This year, there are a pair of destroyers, a Coast Guard cutter, and unspecified ships from the Canadian Forces. Personally, i'm hoping for one of the Halifax or Iroquois-class ships, but the little coastal-defence Kingston-class ones are probably more likely.
