Feb. 8th, 2006 08:57 pmTonight, the Black Knights had their best offensive output of the season. On the down side, though there were more occasions where the kid ostensibly playing goal was either completely out of the net or not paying attention at all. It's good that they don't officially keep score at this level, because on the bench we'd lost count of the number the other team put in. I think the final would have been something on the order of 36-8. The other coach running the bench with me and i stopped keeping track of the score and just counted the ones our kids put in ten minutes in when it was 8-1.
Work has finally decided to take network security somewhat seriously. I now have an RSA token to use when logging in to the VPN. There's both an upside and a downside to this. The authentication software's on my laptop- which means that in order to work remotely, I'll need to be on the laptop. This wouldn't automatically pose a difficulty, but i hate bringing my laptop home- i'd rather VPN from my desktop and take advantage of the full sized keyboard etc. The negative side, therefore, is that it's going to be more inconvenient to work from home. The positive side is that since it's going to be less convenient, i'm less likely to do it.
