Jan. 7th, 2006 09:46 pmAnnoyed at TiVo at present. Today was Hockey Day in Canada, which features three games between the six NHL teams- this year Ottawa at Montrèal, Edmonton at Toronto, and Calgary at Vancouver. The festivities- CBC builds a whole day of programmes around it- started early in Newfoundland and spanned between the games as well.
So, after we got back from
darkmuffin's practice, I put it on, having already recorded the opening bit and the Senators game (for which they didn't really show up), and caught some of the bits before the Toronto game while napping with
scootercomputer. As i was waking up from the nap, Ron MacLean mentioned that in the upcoming segment there's be a spot featuring Habs fan and goaltender Alan Doyle and his mates in Great Big Sea, who would be performing a song especially written for the occasion.
So, being a GBS fan, i told TiVo to record when the show returned from commercial- this as a few minutes before 4, before the Toronto-Edmonton game, and just got it started, when the recorder decided that it was going to stop recording so that it could start recording the Leafs-Oilers, so the song is in two chunks, and there's about fifteen seconds missing. Grrr.
