16 gauge German Silver, hand-cut rings ¼ inch internal diameter. Five rows of King's maille, tapering at the ends.

amythyst, something like this two rows (instead of the five here) wide may work nicely for your piece, as it would allow for a little width without being too bulky and providing something of the aesthetic of a maille weave.
