Dec. 1st, 2004 10:31 pmWork today was an exercise in frustration. Eerything was broken or had one or another sort of blocking issue. Fortunately, at least half of them should be fixed by tomorrow morning.
"Agile development" is a passable idea when the ratio of testers to developers is at least 1:1, but when it's closer to 1:2, it stresses test out because there simply isn't enough time to completely test things, test just hopes that the scenarios they are able to cover are the highest risk ones. And continuing to test something once it's already in the wild is amazingly uncomfortable, especially when it breaks in a new and different way each day- mostly minor little glitches, but still enough to make us wonder if we didn't release something that's a complete piece of crap.
