I saw a posting today from someone about a local pagan event being put on by a group calling itself "Sean Ciall." The minutae of the event, sponsored by local organization OLOTEAS can be found here.

As a Celtic Restorationist/Reconstructionist, and one with an affinity for the Scots Gaelic traditions within that, there are things about the Sean Ciall group which make me, well, a little twitchy, and elements of what's described of their ritual which make me scratch my head in slightly bemused confusion.

Life goes on. And on, and on.
Since there was a Post of Substance© earlier today, it's back to the mundanity of work and life stuff.
Had the standard good time out on Thursday, and saw, amongst others, mistress_gaelan and rhonan, and the completely unexpected ayeshadream.
Today at work was more like a Monday than a Friday. We managed to get blindsided by a minor revision we'd somehow managed to miss on our calendar— or, more likely, had thought was being handled on an as-needed basis. So, after updating our test environment to version 4.0.5.0, we found a need to have it 4.0.4.3. Lovely, especially since SQL updates don't roll back nicely— the .net ones are just a matter of stopping web services, killing the directory in which they live and replacing them with other bits, so we spent much of the day scrambling around trying to figure out how to handle having a hotfix release to test and having a minor revision with elements which need to get final sign-off from executive vice-presidents and the like, all while only having one functional environment in which to stage both. :-(
