Wheeee! Only an hour and a half to go in the day. Part of that will be occupied with interviewing Candidate the Fourth for our temp tester gig. This one looks as if she has the opportunity to be a sharp cookie as well.

Heh! And they say the deck is stacked against women in the software industry. Three of our four candidates have been female, and the male candidate has been the only one who has been less than spectacular.

Damning with Faint Praise

Candidate the Fourth was not nearly the equal of Candidates the First and Second. Still clearly above Candidate the Third, but i think darkmuffin probably could do as well as he would have. She could do the job, and competently; and displayed more of a passion for testing than any of the four, but would have needed to work at it significantly harder than the two better choices.

Daniel and i'd rather work with her than with Denny (the tester who shares our office but isn't part of our team), but that's not saying much of anything, because we both find Denny to be a bit of a dim bulb.
