Feb. 3rd, 2004 08:53 pmOK, i suck. Probably not making it out to DIE In Winter after all- my knee is just too sore. Walking hurts, and it's making a grinding noise on both flexion and extension. On the 'positive' side, it's only slightly puffy and a nice greenish purply colour.
In political musings:
Not a bad showing tonight for Dr. Dean, considering he wasn't actively contesting any of the states which had primaries or caucuses today. 14% in mostly complete returns from Arizona, including 17% in two counties; and 18% in early returns from New Mexico, with 16-20% in each of the state's congressional districts.
And finally someone beats Kerry- Edwards by 15% in South Carolina and it's looking like Edwards and Clark in a virtual dead heat holding a 3% lead on him in Oklahoma. Now that Joe "JoeMentum" Lieberman has officially packed it in, I'm coming awfully close to adding the Anyone But Kerry label, at least until the Democratic convention to the Anyone But Bush one.
Still, if the Dean campaign doesn't do well this weekend- or fails to win two out of three in Washington, Wisconsin and Michigan, it's probably time to strike the tents as well.
With that said, regardless of the candidate you're supporting, who's attending the caucuses this weekend?
And the not-so-completely random quote of the day, from a discussion on the Religion and Spirituality forum on the SeaGoth boards courtesy of
liberpolly:
"If homosexuality is such a mortal sin in Christianity, Jesus by not mentioning it would do a huge disservice to homosexuals - now they are condemned to Christian Hell without being explicitly told by Jesus that this is a sin. So it is contrary to being a good guy - it would be being a passive aggressive schmuck. I doubt this is the view Christians hold about their god."
What's even more remarkable is that i think i can count on one hand the times he and i have agreed on anything.
