In the words of Rabbie Burns, “The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men gang aft a-gley.”

Women, however, are held to a higher standard. ;-)

I understand when we have plans with someone that something unforseen may come up which prevents things from coming off as planned. Just once, however, i wish the person with whom we had those plans would let us know that events were not going to transpire.

From the National Weather Service, regarding snowfall predicted for the Puget Sound area on Monday and Tuesday:
WHILE IT IS TOO EARLY TO SAY EXACTLY HOW MUCH SNOW WILL FALL... THIS EVENT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE THE HEAVIEST AND MOST WIDESPREAD SNOW EVENT FOR THE WESTERN WASHINGTON LOWLANDS SINCE THE HEAVY SNOWS AFTER CHRISTMAS IN 1996.
And, in true Pacific Northwestern style, there'll be little cause to worry about piles of snow lingering long enough to become dirty piles of slush- the temperature is supposed to rise to the upper forties (think 8 degrees Celsius, for those of us more comfortable with that system) on Wednesday and the fifties by Friday. Yup, you got that right— if things go as prognosticated, we'll have massive snowfalls Monday and Tuesday, then flooding resulting from the ensuing thaw.
