8: friends who spent much of the year un- or extremely underemployed (possibly more, but i'm fairly certain of eight)
9: local friends whom i see entirely too infrequently
10: people who are mutual friends who i don't know in real life or met online or via a small handful of organizations to which i belong. Not that there's anything wrong with that. One of these days i'll probably try to learn something about you ten aside from what you write.

I have no idea what motivated me to do this, but it was actually a more interesting use of time than i would have expected. It is said that statistics can be made to say anything- this is, however, a demonstration that statistics can, all by themselves, not say much of anything in particular as well.
