Oct. 14th, 2003 04:21 pmOK, a couple o' disclaimers:
1. Don't take this personally, even if it's about you.
2. Although i get pissed off periodically, it doesn't last long and isn't likely to be held against anyone for a long time.
If someone adds me to their friends list, i'll usually look at their journal. If there's anything of substance which is even remotely interesting, i'll add them back. If they post (or have just posted when i look) just quizzes or the like, i probably won't.
I rarely remove people from my list. It's not out of malice when it happens. Usually it's a case of someone i've met one or two times, but don't really know and haven't much in common with- and accordingly lack sustained interest in the minutae of hir life.
I try to keep my journal a Drama Free Zone©. Friends' postings may have some drama in them, but i don't take any of it seriously enough to act on it. I really hate ad hominem attacks. Making them against someone isn't likely to change my opinion of the target, but is quite likely to adversely effect my opinion of the person casting aspersions. If you want to stir up petty neo-high-school bullshit, take it somewhere else.
No, don't call or e-mail to apologize. I don't want to hear it.
That is all.
