hottoastermama's father, who happened to be in the Pacific Northwest on business. Kinda odd to get interviewed by someone's parent to make sure you're okay before you get to meet the person. ;-) Hopefully we didn't scare him so much he won't let hottoastermama and J. come visit later this summer.
Alexander is making progress in his skating lessons. He still has a tendancy to keep his knees way too straight, but all in all, he's getting around much better than he did even three weeks ago. I'm getting some of the little things back again myself, just from taking the time to work at them. Not all is spiffy, though. Came home with some swelling and soreness in my right knee- my massage therapist (damashita) says it might be a medial collateral ligament strain. This is the same knee which has cartiledge damage which made me stop playing hockey when i was seventeen. Hopefully it's just slightly annoyed at being asked to do things it hasn't done in years. For the time being, rest and bruise plaster and probably a bit of icing.
The Senators dominated the Flyers today and just need one more win to get to take on New Jersey in the Eastern Conference Finals; Vancouver again refused to be bored into submission by the Minnesota Wild and are one win away from a trip to the Western Conference Finals. Dallas beat Anaheim to make that series 3-2 in favour of the Ducks. I really don't care who wins that one as long as they beat on each other for seven games.
