Aug. 21st, 2002 02:38 pmWell, tonight's the night for the Great Big Sea, Seven Nations and Young Dubliners show at the Paramount. It also happens to be the SeaGoth Beach Burn tonight, but because of the unfortunate scheduling, i'll be missing that- i've been waiting for this concert since it was announced- GBS really puts on the highest energy shows i've ever seen.
damashita and alexander are going as well, and
heddo98 will be meeting us there
On the moving front: we have both an address and a telephone number for the new place in Magnolia. Anyone wanting either is welcome to e-mail me asking for the information- i'm just a tiny bit wary of posting it publically.
On other fronts- went back for a follow up with my physician today, and he said i should take a bit more time off. Not going into specifics on why at present, but it's nothing major. It'll hopefully give me time to really look for a work environment outside the MS pressure cooker.
Spent the better part of a half-hour playing the pipes yesterday, and have noticed some improvements in my technique from the fairly regular practice. Shortly i'll need to work on my sight-reading and start concentrating on playing other people's tunes as opposed to improvising on a theme or canon. I'm also going to need to work at re-arranging, since a lot of the tunes i've got weren't written for pipes, and accordingly aren't in A mixolydian (go figure!).
