All my friends are taking the "What High School Stereotype Are You?" quiz, which of course makes it absolutely no fun at all anymore. I'd just come out as an Outsider like so many of my other friends. Oddly enough, all the folk who self-describe as Goth or are on the fringes of the Goth community seem to end up as Outsiders, whereas the only person i know who actually got Goth doesn't see herself particularly that way (although she might now!).
I'm insanely busy doing trivial and pointless stuff at work today, mainly trying to figure out why the automation i run is failing in different places than it ever has before. Fortunately, i just managed to foist that off on the automation guy who wrote most of it. They're his friggin' scripts which are failing, he can fix them. Meanwhile, i have all those nice upgrade scenarios to run for the scenario pass which is due Wednesday (which is why this post has taken four hours to write- cause i drop in when an installation is running or something which doesn't require my immediate attention). Have i mentioned recently how much i hate my fucking job? Still, it beats unemployment, and my boss keeps telling me that i'm doing a good job at it (although i think that's just because he's afraid i'm going to bolt- which i would, given the opportunity to do so).

Yahoogroups finally responded....
Predictably, though, here's what they said:
Unfortunately, this area of Customer Care is unable to assist you with
your Yahoo! Groups issue. For assistance with this matter, please visit

Groups Support representative will promptly respond to your inquiry.

Interestingly enough, that's how i got in contact with them in the first place....
By now i've resubscribed to most of the lists i was on previously. Unfortunately, PMC, the list i own is a list which requires moderator approval to join, and with the owner/moderator trying to resubscribe, i'm not sure where the approval e-mail is going. Then there are the Imbas-members and council lists, which are presently without an active owner because of the current flux within the organization. I'm not sure my presence will make any difference, but hadn't planned on leaving without making that determination for sure.*sigh* Regardless, i think the council owes the membership some sort of voice in the whole thing as far as determining the future of the organization. If they're apathetic, so be it, and only a few of us would miss the group.

Anyway, back to the joy of testing Arabic software.
