Dec. 5th, 2003 10:26 pmAll in all, life is damn good.
I have many of you to blame for this.
I'm still going to ask for more. I'm thinking about seeding a random quote generator, and figured one really good way to make it diverse was to ask for submissions. So, how about it? Got a favourite quote- whether ancient or contemporary, even somewhere in between; from literature, history, music or film; whatever. Doesn't have to be profound or funny, or anything- if it's not a language i understand, please provide a translation, but other than that, nearly anything goes. And please cite it- at least author/character, but however detailed you'd like to be, within reason.
I'll share the component when it's done if anyone's interested.

(It has more of a feeling of the play of life, though.)
"Contrariwise," continued Tweedledee, "if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't; it ain't. That's logic." --Lewis Carroll (Through the Looking Glass)
Oh, and I love the Bucky quote! ;)
My favorite of his is much too long to quote but it's a wonderful, long bit on doppler effect and how if one were exploding and one's ear drums were still attached to a registering part of the brain and the exploding airplane bits around one were accelerating away.... It's lovely and rediculous and of course contains a lot of his rediculously long sentences which makes it quite fun to attempt to read aloud. *grin*
*hugs*
Good Quote
