Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] greenfizzpops for bringing this to my attention.

First off, download this and extract the zip file locally (it contains an executable Java package).
Next, edit the ljbrowser.properties file so that ljbrowser.start=(your LJ username) [sansparenthesis- just replace the name that's there with yours]. Save the change.
Run the ljbrowser.jar file, and sit back and watch as it draws a graphical representation of the connections on your friends list. It's really pretty interesting to see how interconnected and clustered one's friends list is. Mine seems to fall into three major clumps— the Seattle Goth-y types, web designers, and Bay Area pagan/con and/or poly types (read friends of [livejournal.com profile] lysana and [livejournal.com profile] blackfyr who have interesting journals and compelling points of interest on their own)—and a few smaller ones of (mainly local) polyamorous people and political activist types (who are generally not local, and are usually friends of friends).
