This was a closely fought battle between teams featuring highly touted young goaltenders. In the six games between Dallas and Anaheim, five were tightly contested- excepting just game five, a 4-1 Dallas victory.
When the final horn of the sixth game sounded, it was J-S. Giguere who came out ahead of Marty Turco; the relative youth of the Ducks on top of the Stars' age and experience.
