wilson_lizard, zanzibar and their son S. Kinda worked out like a big communal family thing- everyone took turns at keeping the children under control while the adults were in various shops on Capitol Hill. Came back to the house as the sun was sinking into Elliott Bay and hung out fiddling around with some of the various musical instruments in the house and juggling, and the kids goofed around. When they finally had to head home we got alexander off to bed sometime toward the back side of 11:30.
Today: Slept in until nearly 10:30 for the first time in ages. Yaaaay! Had a few errands to run, but made sure to visit Ben & Jerry's for Free Cone Day. Finished errands, came home. Realized it's getting on to piping weather and added a bit of thread to the various connections to keep the whole apparatus airtight and functional. Played for a few minutes, just to discover how badly out of practice i was. Took a close look at the Delphinium, and liked the images enough to share a pair of pictures with you all:
I can't recall having ever seen these before bloom in two colours like this. These are un-retouched from the digital camera, but to my eye look a little more cobalt-indigo than they appear in these images.
Tomorrow: Happy Anniversary,damashita. I still haven't had any second thoughts about it, either. :-) It's one of the best decisions i've ever made.
