ravencallscrowsIt was an amazingly spectacular day in the neighbourhood today. If you believe that, go look at the dateline again. Just consider yourselves good and damned lucky i didn't decide to write the post out and work out a script to invert the contents. No, wait. You know me well enough to know that it's the sort of thing i'd start doing and then lose interest in completely.
Seriously, though, the day didn't completely suck, and, as things go, that's pretty passable. Played phone tag with a recruiter who has a job to discuss with me- will try to get him again tomorrow. Got pictures taken of alexander completely unplanned, and they turned out really nicely. Unfortunately, the budget doesn't permit acquiring too many of them.

gkr, aaminahlefae, ladylygeia and djxavier13 with the clan and damashita's friend C.. Got to hang out with greenwood. Yaaaaay! I can't remember anything about Monday other than spreading coffee grounds on the garden (so it'll get wired on caffeine and stay awake growing all night?). Damned SSRIs. Been off the damn things since late December and still don't have my short term memory back and my attention span is still shorter than- oh, nevermind.
Oh, yeah- got the form the investment company lost filled out again and faxed to them, so hopefully they'll get their act together and give me back the $150 or so they withheld in taxes from a recent stock sale, so i'll get to buy my birthday present and hopefully have a few shekels left to rub together. Maybe even do the 'proud alumnus' thing and buy a logo-ed sweatshirt from my alma mater like this one:
In order to do so though, i'd have to take the major step of rationalizing buying a sweatshirt for almost $50, which, although it's possible, is about as likely as Rekjavik becoming the next happening tropical tourist getaway, trees sprouting on Greenland, and the Supreme Court deciding that they want to order a new recount of ballots in Palm Beach County from the last Presidential election. What can i say? I've been poor most of my life, and then there's the ethnic predilections- that part of my heritage which isn't Russian Jewry is Scots. Means i argue with myself whether i'm cheap, stingy, thrifty, or just frugal.
Found a little something while we were out today thatdamashita and i agreed that ajka simply needed to have, which was fun. Now we're going to torture her by making her wonder what it is. Bwhahahahaha. Don't know if i'll make it out for coffee tomorrow night. Of late, i've felt really bitchy and anti-social, which probably means that i ought to, but i really don't feel like it at present.
