Had our second D&D session today. No chances to smite enemies, just a lot of quibbling and discussion amongst our characters. Also, things split between those who needed healing and those who didn't, which resulted into an hour or so for each group where they just essentially sat and waited for the other group, which contributed to it being a less than completely enjoyable session- we need to try and make sure that doesn't happen again. I'm a bit concerned about the game becoming less than balanced- because of a special favour owed to the former owner of the Red Archer, one of our party will have a +4 equivalent longbow, and the whole party stands to make at least 6000 GP each, which should allow for the acquisition of other magic items which may be above the level which would be anticipated from characters at low levels- at this point almost any magic item is going to be past our level. We'll have to get active pretty expediently next session, or we may condemn the game to mediocrity simply because we're not doing anything.

Watching CBC's coverage of men's luge at the Olympics and CNBC's coverage of the Slovakia v. Latvia men's hockey after watching Germany beat Austria 3-2 on a late goal which will eliminate Austria from being able to advance in the tournament. No score on the Slovakia-Latvia game yet, but this should be an interesting game, and (hopefully) the best to date.
