Jan. 7th, 2003 06:43 pmTook advantage to the unseasonably warm Puget Sound weather today and took a trip to Woodland Park Zoo. Going to the zoo in the winter midweek is highly advisable- there are fewer stupid people around, and on a bright, clear day, visibility just doesn't get better. It's worth the price of admission, and, for only a little more, you can become a member and support the programs at the zoo <---shameless plug for the nice people at Woodland Park Zoo, home to two new Sumatran Tigers born on 16 December.
Just missed getting what should have been a wonderful shot of a peregrine falcon getting some exercise and hitting some food "flown" for her by one of her handlers- she was visible on the preview in the digital camera, but not on the actual shot recorded :-(. Still got some nice pictures, though.
A few more people have been added to my friends list of late, who have found this journal somehow- i'd suspect most from friendsfriends. Anyway, welcome to
