I figured it was probably a translation, but I didn't know so I just enjoyed it for the meaningless squiggly lines and read the rest as a separate thing.

And it's nice to know that things come across reasonably similarly.

I find i need to exercise my Russian occasionally or it will corrode completely. As it is, it's barely usable now. :-(

Fortunately, there is a fair flow of emigres to the Pacific Northwest, so that there are a few people about (mainly Muscovites) who can on occasion harass me on my choice in hockey teams- SKA Sankt Petersburg- and relative temperance in matters alcoholic (although that's just a matter of age teaching me that the easiest way to avoid the quandry that is an opened but unemptied bottle is just to have a drink or two at my favourite goth club).
